Heading back to the USA - gmtPlus9 (-15)
I'm heading back to the USA after over 18 years in Japan ...heading back to my home state of Wisconsin - The Roadside Genius State. When I arrived in Japan on July 4, 1987 I never dreamed that my stay would be this long. It's been, shall we say, an experience.

Thank you, Anita. I'm gearing up for some major reverse culture shock.
Having lived in Japan for two years and moved back to Canada I can say you are in for an exciting trasition!

I have no blaze orange but I'll try to spot some during my 36 hour Friday. Cheers...
good luck. I've enjoyed gmtPlus9 for 6 years...hope you continue after the big move.
Hi,
I found this blog not long ago and I love it. I hope you will keep it going. I lived in Japan for only three years and coming back to Paris was not easy. I still miss Japan but I'm also glad I'm closer to my family and home culture. It just took some time to re-adjust :-)
Good luck on your move!
Good luck with your move and we hope you continue with gmtplus9 (or -15)...
