Barbican Film... Remembering Hungary '56: The Voice Of Freedom. "...October sees the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, which was eventually crushed by Soviet troops, but was later hailed by Richard Nixon as 'the beginning of the end of the Soviet empire.'
To mark this anniversary of one of the key events of the Twentieth Century, Barbican Film is screening a season of films in association with the Hungarian Cultural Centre."
